"I think most people function on a daily basis without much thought, believing that the background is relatively static while they pursue various personal goals. One has to think and try to find patterns. A simple belief is that God made life and humans make things, therefore humans are the son of God. But if you study nature more closely you can find patterns that match, like the exponential growth of renegade cancer cells and the industrial growth of human civilization and that humans are equivalent to the RNA in cells. But to find the patterns you have to have some familiarity with molecular/cell biology, ecology, systems and so on and then you have to actually think and ask yourself questions. Most people are too busy functioning to have much time to sit down and think, even if they had that rare inclination. And if you prepackage your ideas and hand them to them, they are not tested in the mind, but are summarily discarded in favor of something more positive. I don’t expect any great “awakening” and subsequent evasive actions, but I rather expect a full disintegration of organization, complexity and infrastructure."
