Graecum sei Dank bin ich nicht empört...ich habe nichts gegen "Privatleute", auch wenn andere Hobby-Etymologen meinen, dass das wiederum "Räuber" wären (privare), was ich für eine sehr tendenziöse Übersetzung halte.
