Ich selber habe zwischen 1975 und 1980 zusammen u.a. mit einem ehem. NASA-Mitarbeiter an der Entwicklung und Konstruktion des weltweit ersten mobilen digitalen Gleismesssystems gearbeitet. Diese Entwicklung wurde damals von der österr. Bahnbaumaschinen-Firma Plasser & Theurer in Zusammenarbeit mit ihrer US-Tochterfirma durchgeführt. 1973, nach Beendigung der Mondmission, setzte die NASA einen Großteil ihrer Mitarbeiter frei, und der Elektronik-Spezialist fand einen Job bei besagter Gleisbau-Tochterfirma in USA.

Der Mann selbst hat genau so wie hunderte seiner Kollegen die Mondlandung in allen Details verfolgt, und zwar unmittelbar vor Ort, in der Zentrale in Houston. Ich kenne auch die Elektronik von damals, und weiß dass das Mondlande-Projekt bereits 1969 machbar war (viele wollen es einfach nicht glauben, dass so was ohne moderne Computer möglich war).

"Interesting. I worked on Apollo at MIT, and we were responsible for the guidance and navigation portion of the Apollo missions, including Apollo 11. Since we were monitoring and participating in the actual mission, in real time, it is hard for me to imagine that we were able to fake anything. I just don't think we were that good. Technology wasn't that good either. Kubrick may or may not have made a film in parallel with the actual mission(s), but from my own observation, everything we worked on at MIT was real as hell. If some one or more of my colleagues at MIT came out with a paper describing how we had faked the missions, then I would relook at the subject. No one that I am aware of, that was scientifically or operationally involved in the Apollo program, has ever suggested - to my knowledge - that Apollo was faked".
