sie will vielleicht, aber sie kann nicht (oder sie glaubt nicht zu können). Die FED hat zwar de jure nur ein Mandat für die US-Wirtschaft, muss sich faktisch aber mit der Lage der ganzen Welt auseinandersetzen, weil der Dollar-Geldmarkt die Finanzierungsquelle für (mehr oder weniger) die ganze Welt ist.

Aus dem jüngsten FOMC Bericht: “Recent global economic and financial developments may restrain economic activity somewhat and are likely to put further downward pressure on inflation in the near term.” (meine Hervorhebung)
