Sagt der US-General Dunford auf Anfrage von US-Senatoren. Das haben die
Russen wohl als Kriegsdrohung interpretiert.

Was Dumford da sagt, stellt für mich keine Provokation Russlands dar, sondern eine Warnung der eigenen Leute vor der drohenden Eskalationsspirale.

Was jedoch als Drohung aufgefasst werden kann, ist die Aussage von Konteradmiral John Kirby bei der täglichen Presseinformation am 28.9.2016:

Extrem verkürzt auf deutsch übersetzt sagt er, dass bei Scheitern eines Abkommens Extremisten das Vakuum in Syrien für Angriffe auch auf russische Städte ausnützen könnten.

Uebrigens, dieser Ausschuss Ultrakonservativer (McCain, Cruz usw.) redet wie im Kalten Krieg - das reinste Gruselkabinet (aber wohl auch die geistige Quell fuer Hillary Clinton, zumindest nach ihren Ueberzeugungen zu urteilen). Russland wird in einer Reihe mit Nord-Korea, Iran und Syrien aufgezaehlt. Die Senatoren versuchen Carter und Dunham zu gewissen Aussagen zu verleiten, damit sie Argumente gegen Obama haben, haerter in Syrien vorgehen zu koennen. Da gab es offensichtlich eine Panne, als Dunford offen von "Krieg gegen Russland" sprach.

Ist das eine Vorsichtsmaßnahme? Kommt das häufiger vor?
